The A O Challenge

Coast

The coast level is a 5.2 K (3.23 miles) loop with coastal scenery. It includes ships, various amusement park rides, wind turbines and tunnels. You will gain 53 meters (174 feet) of elevation per lap.
Watch out for the German Shepherd just before the finish line.

Bundesstrasse
The Bundestrasse loop starts downtown and takes you out into the countryside and back into town. This loop is 7.84 K (4.87 miles) in length, takes you over a couple of overpasses which give you an elevation gain of 21 meters (69 feet).

Picnic
It may be called Picnic, but this loop is 5.86 K (3.64 miles) long and has you climbing 98 Meters (322 feet) in elevation on a dirt road. Nice rustic scenery.

Forest Island
Recovery, sprints or intervals, this level is perfect for any of these. It covers only 2.75 K (1.7 miles) and is a completely flat course that winds through the small village and the woods.

In the Forest
This level takes you on a short loop through a forest with all sorts of animals and trees. The loop is 2.35 K (1.46 miles) long and you gain
xxx meters (yyy feet) in elevation. The length lends itself well to high interval training.

Snowland
Icy roads and snow scenes make up this wintery level. There is plenty of elevation gain in this 5.95 K (3.7 Mile) loop at 148 meters (485 feet). Six to ten laps of this course make for a very very good climbing day.

Winterland
This level is short at 2.35 K (1.46 miles) long with an elevation gain of xxx meters (yyy feet) per lap. The course takes you through a small village and along ice covered roads.

The Desert
This is the longest course at more than 22? K (13.5? miles). The landscape is stark but beautiful. The elevation gain is over 210? meters (710? feet). The downhill sections will have you flying and the long uphill grades will have your legs burning.

Velodrome
If you want to race your friends, this is the place. The Velodrome is a flat 1.26 K (.78 mile) oval that allows you to simulate a real velodrome for all kinds of multiplayer traditional velodrome events.

Uphill
As the name implies this is a one-way steady 6%-7% climb. The 3.35 K (2.2 mile) climb is a great tool for hill repeats as well as challenging friends in multiplayer mode. One lap will require an elevation gain of 230 meters (750 feet).

Deep Forest
The level is best described as an undulating off-road mountain or gravel bike level. The scenery is as rugged as the terrain. Over the 3.4 K (2.1 mile) course the quick elevation changes will you going from easy to hard pedaling repeatedly and literally keep you on your toes and you gain xxx meters (yyy feet) in elevation per lap.

Big City
This course takes you back and forth in a big city environment. While the loop is flat, the 9.15 K (5.69 miles) takes you past tall buildings, shops and other big town scenery.

Suzuka Race Track
This 5.8 K (3.6 mile) course is graphically beautiful and athletically challenging. One lap will give you xxx meters (yyy feet) in elevation. The 6 – 10 laps make for a good workout.

The A O Challenge
The “A O Challenge” consists of completing one lap of every level. The complete challenge will require a distance of more than 77 K (48 miles) and elevation gain of more than 900 meters (2950 feet).
